Annual Day Celebrations


The GD Goenka Signature School inaugurated it’s School Auditorium with the 1st Annual Day celebrations on 17th February 2018. The school’s Chairman, Mr Rishi Raj Jain and Ms Smita Jain, graced the occasion with their presence. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the Principal- Ms. Nisha Bhakar sharing the school Annual Report, highlighting the achievements of the students.

As the speech concluded, the excitement was palpable and the students geared up to present the ‘sung- through’ British Musical – ‘CATS’ by TS Eliot. The curtains were lifted and all the students showcased their talent and unveiled the beautiful tale of a tribe of cats called the ‘Jellicles’. The spectacular show left the audience spellbound and as the students took their final bow, the thunderous applause just would not stop!

Fitness Guru Nishanta Bordoloi Visit in School

Fitness Guru Nishanta Bordoloi Visit GD Goenka Signature School A qualified BCCI Match Official & S&C Coach, apart from being an international trainer Nishanta Bordoloi gave up his BCCI assignments as match referee in several matches across the country last year and joined the Delhi team. After helping Yuvraj Singh regain fitness at the NCA after the latter’s mid-career illness, the 40-year-old Nishanta has worked upon the likes of Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir and many more ace cricketers along with three other Indian internationals who figure in the Delhi team.

Nishanta is a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach from the National Cricket Academy, Board of Control for Cricket in India, Australian Strength & Conditioning Association, Australia. Nishanta has also helped many individuals in the outside the sporting arena with recovery and rehabilitation from injuries and pain.

Qutab Minar Visit

The GD Goenka Signature School organized a special outing for its students and mentors. Excited students boarded the buses along with their mentors at 8:45am and set out for a wonderful trip to the Qutab Minar, a historical monument built by Qutab Ud-Din-Aibak . Once they reached the venue, they enjoyed observing the inscriptions on the walls of the monuments, the material used for the construction, the arches, the domes and the gardens. The students were also fascinated with the story behind the unconstructed Alai Minar which was to be made under the supervision of the ambitious Sultan Alla-ud-din Khilji.

Once everyone had been around the minars, pillars and arches they also went to see the famous metallurgical wonder, the Iron Pillar. Finally, all the students sat on the green lawns around the historical sun dial and spent their time playing organized games with their mentors. Thereafter, everyone replenished their energies with a sumptuous lunch and then headed back for school. As the event concluded, the smiles on everyone’s faces reflected the bonhomie of the fun filled day!

Kapil Dev’s Visit

On 15th November 2017, the Haryana Hurricane, Mr. Kapil Dev visited the GD Goenka Signature School. The school was abuzz with excitement as everyone got ready to welcome the legend from the World of Cricket.

The Principal of our school, Ms Nisha Bhakar welcomed the great all rounder and he was presented a bouquet as he entered the school premises. Mr Kapil Dev took a round of the school campus and appreciated the Sporting facilities available in the school. He interacted with the students and it was a momentous occasion for everyone as he autographed a bat and ball for them. All the students were really excited to meet their idol sports star. It was a historical day for the GD Goenka Signature School.

Invoking the Divine to illuminate the path of blossoming lives with virtue and values, the splendid sparkles of GD Goenka Signature School presented an exuberant show to trace the Legend of Lord Rama on October 16, 2018 in the school premises.

Having been showered with blessings and praises by parents and teachers, the students’ best take away was the exemplary life of The Maryada Purushottam Lord Rama.
